Why it exists

On a windy ridge before sunrise, the first job is a fast, small flame under a pot, not a kitchen-size stove. Most canister burners weigh more than the coffee they heat and claim a stuff sack of their own. This one is a titanium split-structure burner, the BRS-3000T, with a net weight of 25 g (0.9 oz), and it still brings a typical boil in about 2 minutes 58 seconds. Ridgebrew packs it as the heat source you actually carry when every gram in the pack already has a job: it sits under the kettle or the mug and then disappears into a hip pocket or the lid of a cook set.

How it works

Set the burner on a butane gas canister, open the valve, and light it with a lighter or ferro rod; there is no ignition device on the stove, so you light it the way you already light camp fuel. Set a small pot or mug on top and wait. Under typical conditions the maker puts a boil at about 2 minutes 58 seconds, which is coffee water before the light changes. The valve is manual, so you turn it down once the water is rolling and back up for the next mug.

It is a water boiler for the brew methods that need hot water fast: pour-over through a dripper, a small press, instant, or a dehydrated meal pouch. Fuel is a butane canister, sold separately; on a typical fill the maker lists about 3 hours of burn at maximum firepower, which covers a lot of mugs. The split-structure design is listed for normal outdoor use, including high altitude. When you are done, let it cool fully, wipe the soot, and store it dry.

Built for the trail

  • Titanium metal construction at 25 g (0.9 oz) net. The burner lives in a hip pocket or the lid of a cook set instead of a dedicated stove bag.
  • 123 × 75 mm (4.8 × 3.0 in) footprint. Sits on a butane canister under a small pot or mug without crowding the rest of the kit.
  • About 2 minutes 58 seconds to a typical boil (maker's figure). Pour-over water is ready while you grind.
  • Manual control, no ignition device. Fewer parts to fail in the cold; light it with the lighter or ferro rod you already carry.
  • About 3 hours at maximum firepower on a typical butane fill (maker's figure). One canister carries a lot of brews; fuel is sold separately.
  • Split-structure burner for normal outdoor use, including high altitude. Built for the ridge, not just the picnic table.
  • Reusable outdoor burner, not a disposable. Cool it, wipe it, pack it, and use it again next trip.

Best for

Backpackers, bikepackers, and thru-hikers running a solo or duo kit where a small pot or mug is the biggest thing that ever sits on the flame. It also earns a place as a backup burner in a van or car-camp box because it takes no room. If you cook for a group with a wide pot, or you want built-in ignition and a wind shield in the box, pick a different stove; neither is included here, and this burner is sized for a small pot or mug.

Honest limits

There is no igniter and no wind shield, so you bring a lighter or ferro rod and you site the flame in a lee or add your own screen when the wind is up, because wind steals heat from a small burner. The canister is not included. The boil time and burn time are the maker's typical figures; cold, wind, and altitude will move them. Titanium gets hot and stays hot for a while, so let it cool fully before it goes back in the pocket.

Weight is accurate as described. What a loud burner! It handled the test boil well and feels sturdy for the weight. At 25g and tiny this would work well for backpacking or as a backup.

Very light, small. Works. Perfect for ultralight packing or as an emergency standby for a quick soup, coffeee/tea, porridge, or ramen.

I dont believe its the most efficient but it will save a ton of weight over the old stainless I had. Fired right up no issues first test. Arrived in good shape.

it works pretty much as expected. unit is small, seems fairly well made, flame is equally small and not well suited for heating larger cooking vessels, such as frying pans. excellent for boiling water in a small pot. it has no ignitor. shipped promptly, no issues. thanks!

The miracle lighter of the lightweight model. Weighs only 27 grams. Made with high quality and in a minimalist style. The main thing is not to forget to take a lighter with you on the hike.)

At this price, I have nothing more to add. The sound is like a starship taking off 🤣 26g. Boiling 0.5l of water in the comfort of your home takes 2.5 minutes, gas consumption approx. 8g.

The burner is very light and quite well-made - I used it to cook at minus 5 degrees Celsius and it performed perfectly. I recommend it!

Tiny but functional. The flame is good, it fits firmly to the gas outlet and doesn't seem to have a leak. It gets quite hot but nothing concerning. I recommend it.
