Stainless Steel Nesting Cups, Set of 4 with Case

Why it exists

At camp or on the kitchen counter, coffee still needs a cup that packs small and pours clean. Four loose mugs rattle in a bin and take the space of a stove. This set is four stainless steel cups that nest into one another and zip into a carry case, so you can pour for yourself and the people around the stove without adding bulk to the bag. Pick the size for how you drink: 170 ml for a regular cup of coffee, or 30 ml for espresso shots.

How it works

Unzip the case, pull the stack apart, and hand them out. The 170 ml (5.7 fl oz) cups take a pour from a percolator, French press, or pour-over server; each stands about 8.3 cm (3.3 in) tall with a 6 cm (2.4 in) rim and a 4.4 cm (1.7 in) base, so they sit steady on a camp table. The 30 ml (1 fl oz) cups are shot-sized: about 4 cm (1.6 in) tall with a 3.7 cm (1.5 in) rim and a 2.5 cm (1 in) base, right for a moka pot or portable espresso press when four people each want a taste.

When you are done, wash, dry, and stack them back into the case. Because they nest, the set stores in roughly the footprint of a single cup, and the zip case keeps them from clanging against a kettle or scratching a grinder in the kitchen box.

Built for the trail

• Four stainless steel cups that stack inside a zip carry case, so the set packs like one cup.
• 4 × 170 ml (5.7 fl oz) for a regular coffee pour: about 8.3 cm tall, 6 cm across the rim, 4.4 cm at the base.
• 4 × 30 ml (1 fl oz) for espresso or moka shots: about 4 cm tall, 3.7 cm across the rim, 2.5 cm at the base.
• Sold as a matching set of four in one case, so nobody gets the odd mug.
• Stainless steel drinkware with no high-concerned chemicals listed by the maker.
• Zip case keeps the cups together in a gear bin and protects the rest of the kit from scratches.

Best for

Car camping groups and families sharing one percolator or press: four 170 ml cups nest into a single case instead of four loose mugs. Van and cabin kitchens with limited cupboard space. The 30 ml set suits espresso or moka pot tastings, picnics, and a small gift for someone who hosts at camp. If you want a large, insulated mug of coffee to nurse for an hour, the 170 ml cups are smaller than that; this set is about serving the group, not a solo thermos.

Honest limits

These are plain stainless cups with no insulation listed, so a fresh pour warms the rim and the coffee cools faster than it would in a double-wall mug. The 30 ml size is a shot, not a cup. You choose one size for the whole set; the two sizes are not mixed in a case. Wash and dry them before nesting so moisture does not sit between stacked cups in the zip case.
