Why it exists
At camp, a handful of beans, tea, or sugar is easier to carry than a bag that dumps, picks up damp, and shares every smell in the kit. A half-open bag of beans in a food sack tastes like the jerky next to it by day two. These small stainless tins with airtight lids hold a single dose so you can portion at home and open only what you need on the trail, in the van, or at the kitchen counter.
How it works
Before a trip, weigh or scoop one brew's worth of beans or grounds, a serving of loose tea, or your sugar into a tin and press the airtight lid on. Each tin stays sealed in the pack until the morning you want it, so the rest of your coffee is never exposed to damp air or odor from other food. At camp, open one tin, tip it into the grinder or the filter, and brew. Back home, rinse the tin, dry it, and refill it for the next trip.

A 60 ml (2 fl oz) tin suits a single pour-over dose; the 120 ml (4 fl oz) and 140 ml (4.7 fl oz) tins hold a bigger dose for a French press or a percolator, or a few days of sugar. Honest limits
These are mini tins, so each one holds a dose, not a supply; a week of coffee means several tins or a larger canister. Stainless is opaque, so label or color-code them if you carry more than one filling. The maker does not list weights or exact dimensions, and the finish and size combinations are fixed: black and coffee brown only at 60 ml, coffee brown only at 120 ml, gold only at 140 ml. Rinse and dry fully before refilling; a damp tin sealed airtight will stay damp.
