How it works

Fill it, set it on the camp stove or picnic burner, and wait for the boil. Lift by the wood handle, which gives a cooler, surer grip than a bare rim, and pour. The spout delivers a controlled stream, so it suits pour-over through a dripper or paper cone, a small press, or a straight pour into a mug of instant or tea. For freeze-dried meals, pour into the pouch, seal it, and set the kettle back on the burner for the next round.

Pick the capacity by how much you boil at once. The 500 ml (17 fl oz) size is the solo mug and small-dripper kettle. The 750 ml (25 fl oz) size covers a pour-over plus a meal pouch from one boil. The 1 L (34 fl oz) size is for boiling for more than yourself. After the trip, rinse it, dry it fully, and store it with the lid off.

This is a kettle, not a cook set: it boils water and that is its whole job. The handle is wood, so treat the kettle as a rinse-and-dry piece rather than something to soak or leave wet in a pack, and dry the 201 stainless interior fully before storing it.
