Why it exists
A tasting flight on a picnic table usually ends with six open bags, mixed aromas, and no way to tell which roast was which. Ridgebrew built this Coffee Bean Vial Rack so a few grams of each bean stay labeled, sealed, and standing upright in one walnut row. The glass tubes keep the roast color visible, the ABS lids keep each sample closed between pours, and the walnut base keeps the whole set from rolling off the table into the dirt. It is a small station for comparing beans at camp, gifting a flight to a coffee friend, or lining up tea and spice samples beside the kettle.
How it works
Before a trip, weigh a small dose of each coffee into its own vial, close the ABS lid, and stand the vials in the rack. The glass jars hold 17 g or 22 g (0.6 or 0.8 oz) of beans, which is a single pour-over dose or a side-by-side cupping sample rather than a week's supply. At camp, the rack sits beside the grinder: pull one vial, grind, brew, and the rest stay sealed and in order. For a tasting flight, line up a few roasts, brew them back to back in the same dripper, and compare notes while the row keeps everything straight.
The same setup works at home. Keep the rack on the brew bar as a dose station for the mornings of a trip, or fill it with tea, grain, cereal, or spice portions when the coffee is gone. Choose the 6 vials set for a tight camp kitchen or a gift box, and the 12 vials set for a full tasting lineup or a home bar that wants every roast in rotation visible at once.
Built for the trail
- Walnut base holds every vial upright, so a gust of wind or a crowded table does not scatter the set.
- Glass jars show the roast color and the fill level at a glance, so you know which sample is which and how much is left.
- ABS lids give a tight close between pours, keeping each dose sealed from the others and from camp dust.
- Two-piece kit: the storage vials plus the display rack, ready as one station out of the box.
- 17 g or 22 g (0.6 or 0.8 oz) jar capacity, sized for single doses and cupping samples rather than bulk storage.
- Two layouts, 6 vials or 12 vials, so you can match the rack to a camp kitchen or a full home lineup.
- Works for coffee beans, tea, grain, cereal, or spice when you want small, labeled portions that travel.
Best for
Car campers and van travelers who pre-dose beans for each morning of a trip, coffee people who run tasting flights at camp or at home, and anyone shopping for a gift-ready brew bar piece. Choose 6 vials for a compact camp kitchen, a short trip, or a gift box; choose 12 vials for a full roast lineup or a home station that travels to a cabin. It is not a bulk storage canister and will not replace a sealed bag for a large quantity of beans; if you need to carry a week of coffee in one container, look at a larger storage jar instead.
Honest limits
The vials are glass, so pack the rack where it will not get crushed under a cooler, and the walnut base should be wiped dry rather than soaked. Each jar holds 17 g or 22 g (maker's figures), so this is sample and single-dose storage, not a pantry solution. Hand-wash the glass and lids and let them air-dry fully before loading, since damp glass and beans do not mix. The listed weight of 0.241 kg (8.5 oz) is the packaged figure.
